Tried & True (Beauty)

I’ve been on a wellness and skincare kick this whole year (with the rest of the world) and Christmas time is the best time to ask for some of those items that you haven’t bought for yourself or if you’re needing to replenish. I made a switch over to natural and safe products this year (as much as possible) and each of the items below are my favorite items I restock again and again or are items I have on my personal Christmas list. Let me know if you’ve tried any of my favorite items or if you have some fun recommendations for me!

  1. Jade roller- I’m asking for one for Christmas because I finally tried one out and it was incredibly soothing.

  2. Kopari deodorant- this is the best natural deodorant. I promise. It actually works, it glides on smooth and it smells amazing. I’ve tried almost every single brand of natural deodorant (seriously) and this is the only one I’ve ordered three times now.

  3. Silk eye mask- I know everyone recommends the Slip brand but it’s SO expensive. I ordered one off of Amazon and I swear by it. I can’t sleep without my eye mask.

  4. Dry Brush- I picked up a dry brush in Georgia when I was there for a wedding and I’ve loved using it ever since. I use it in the morning when I first get up and I immediately feel more awake. Dry brushing helps simulate lymph flow which helps detox your body and it exfoliates your skin!

  5. Oil diffusor- I’ve had my diffusor for years and it broke on me recently so I’m asking for a new one for Christmas. I just bought the Young Living Thieves mix and it smells heavenly! I can’t wait to diffuse it in my room soon.

  1. Playa Shampoo- I really loved this Shampoo but it does have some pitfalls. It’s very difficult to get out of the bottle and it’s fairly pricey. Honestly, I am still in the market for a shampoo I love. I’ve been trying out cleaner shampoo for a few years now. Any recommendations?

  2. Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap- this is the holy grail. I’ve gotten so many people hooked on this. It makes you feel very clean (though it does dry you out so get ready to majorly moisturize) and I love the peppermint smell. You can use it for so many other purposes like removing stains, as an all-purpose cleaner, and even to clean your vegetables and fruit! Sounds weird? Maybe. But it’s all natural and I promise it’s worth a try.

  3. Acure Conditioner- I love Acure products. This conditioner smells amazing and makes my hair feel soft. You also get a lot of bang for your buck which is always a plus!

  4. Living Proof in-shower styler- If you have naturally wavy or curly hair and you don’t want to always use heat to tame your hair, then I recommend this product. It smells amazing and it really does help maintain a curl!

  5. Alterna Bamboo Kendi Oil- I put this in my damp hair after a shower to help fight frizz and it’s a miracle worker. It also smells heavenly!! (Unfortunately this isn’t “clean” so if you have another recommendation for me I’m all ears!)

  1. Green Clean- this face makeup remover and cleanser is the best thing I’ve randomly bought in the checkout line of Sephora. That place is dangerous. It smells great and is a clean product!

  2. Desert Essence Moisturizer- this moisturizer lasts forever because it has a thick consistency and a little goes a long way. I love mixing this with the Blue Tansy night oil whatever oil you use and massaging it into my face. This is also at a great price point!

  3. Earth Science Eye Makeup Remover- I recently bought this and I’m loving it. I used to use the Green Clean balm to take off my eye makeup but my eyes would feel foggy after and this remover doesn’t do that at all. Plus this is clean!!

  4. Acure Day Cream- this stuff is the real deal. I’m on my second order of it and swear by it for the morning. It has a citrus scent that helps wake you up and I swear it really does brighten my face. It’s a little pricey (though not bad) but they don’t give you very much. It’s still worth it though.

  5. Acure Seriously Soothing Oil- the Acure obsession continues. They are definitely my current favorite “clean” brand. I’ve heard about the benefits of Blue Tansy Oil so I bought this to try it out. Blue Tansy helps fight inflammation and make your skin soft and smooth. I mix this with my moisturizer at night.

  6. Primally Pure Everything Spray- I love this product and this company. I use this spray after the shower and I spray it on my chest and face to help even out my tone. It has a pretty strong scent that I don’t particularly love but I swear it has helped even out my skin tone. A little goes a long way as well.

So now I send it over to you. What are your tried & true beauty products? Please share!
